How to take measurements of a shower tray
To choose the right enclosure you need to carefully measure your shower tray. To purchase the correct model, simply measure the length of the external edges of the shower tray starting from the wall. If the shower tray is built into the wall, you will always have to proceed in the same way, from the wall to the end of the external edge. You can also install the shower enclosure in the middle of the edge of the tray but it will lose its aesthetics.

Depending on the type of dish, the measurements must be taken in this way:
Square or rectangular angular plate.
Corner shower enclosures
A. Measure the tiles at the outer edge of the shower tray. B. Measure from the tiles to the outside edge of the shower tray.
Square or rectangular plate inserted in a niche.
Shower niche door
A. Measure from tile to tile at the level of the shower tray. Measure from tile to tile at 100cm height. Measure from tile to tile at 200cm height. The measurement must be taken in these 3 points to detect any out-of-squareness.
Square or rectangular plate with three free sides and a wall support.
3-sided shower enclosure
A. Measure from the tiles to the front corner of the tray. B. Measure from corner to other front corner. C. Measure from the corner of the front edge to the tiles.
Semicircular angular plate.
semicircular shower cubicles
A. Measure from the tiles to the outer edge of the shower tray. B. Measure from the tiles to the outside edge of the shower tray. A. Measure the radius from the corner of the wall to the point of maximum circumference (in our boxes the radius is 55cm).
Angular pentagonal plate.
hexagonal shower enclosure
A. Measure from the tiles to the outside edge of the shower tray. B. Measure from the tiles to the outside edge of the shower tray.
What to do if the shower tray is not of standard size? The installed shower cubicles, for one reason or another, may not be of standard size, for example the tiles have been installed on the shower cubicle and therefore the support space is limited. Our corner shower enclosures have standard measurements but some have a tolerance of 2 cm less. In this way, the possibility of errors in the purchase will be truly minimal and the box will be installable without any functional aesthetic problem. Furthermore, if your plate is 2 cm more than the standard ones, we have compensation profiles that allow you to cover 2 cm more.
Tolerance example:
Shower enclosure 70x70: can be used when the shower tray measures one side from 68 to 70 and the other side from 68 to 70
Shower enclosure 70x90: can be used when the shower tray measures one side from 68 to 70 and the other side from 88 to 90
Shower enclosure 80x80: can be used when the shower tray measures one side from 78 to 80 and the other side from 78 to 80
Shower enclosure 80x100: can be used when the shower tray measures one side from 78 to 80 and the other side from 98 to 100
What causes the pit tolerance? Idralite shower enclosures can be extended by 2 cm less per side thanks to their regulating profiles. They have a double profile, one for the wall and one for the glass; they are stuck together and can be extracted in such a way as to decrease or increase the length. The more they are extracted, the longer they will be. Once the desired length has been obtained, they can be fixed together with the screw and dowel included in the assembly kit. The mounting kit also includes the drill bit suitable for the hole.
